Society of Foreign Travel Operators (SFTO) – India has decided to organise trade workshops in Finland and Estonia for Indian outbound tour operators and travel agents from September 16-20, 2012. These workshops will be held in Helsinki (Finland) and Tallinn (Estonia). According to Kapil Berera, General Secretary, SFTO it is the first overseas workshop and the Society is planning to take 100 to 125 tour operators and travel agents for the workshop and familiarisation tour.
There will be detailed presentations by suppliers from respective markets at these workshops.
The workshops and pre and post-workshop tours are being hosted in partnership with tourism boards of the respective countries, airline partners like Finn Air, local cruise companies, etc. The tour operators and travel agents participating in the workshops can also opt for both pre and post-workshop tours. The pre-event tour includes visit to St. Petersburg or Rovaniemi – Arctic Circle and post-tour comprises visit to Riga Latvia or the Helsinki-Stockholm cruise. The complete tour including pre and post- tours and the workshop is for seven nights and eight days commencing from September 15, 2012. Berera said that the date to enroll for the overseas workshop has now been extended to July 31, 2012 and the trade can now register without paying any surcharge before this date.
