Delhi has bagged the Best Destination for Food & Drink at the Lonely Planet Magazine India Travel Awards, 2013.
Delhi Tourism chairman Manish Chatrath and chief manager (PR) Sudhir Sobti received the award at a special ceremony held in Mumbai.
“The Best Destination for Food & Drink award is a prestigious award for Delhi and is a step forward towards making Delhi a preferred tourist destination,” a statement from Delhi Tourism read.

Nominations for the awards were shortlisted by a panel of travel experts and professionals and LPMI readers voted both online and in the magazine.
In other hospitality awards, the Oberoi Vanyavilas, Ranthambore was awarded the Best Wildlife Resort; the JW Marriott Hotel Mumbai bagged the Best Business Hotel; Ginger Hotels was the Best Value Hotel; the Best Hotel for Romance was Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur and the Best Heritage Hotel was Devi Garh, Udaipur.
