Ministry of Tourism & Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia will undertake a three-city road show in India starting from July 23, 2012. After the first road show in Bengaluru on July 23, 2012, the road show will travel to Ahmedabad on July 25, 2012 and Kolkata on July 27, 2012. Being organised by the Visit Indonesia
Tourist Office (VITO) in India, the road show will be lead by Nia Niscaya, Director, International Tourism Promotion, Indonesia Tourism. As per the VITO communiqué, about eight Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and seven hotels and resorts from Indonesia will participate in the sales mission. The target of the road show is to promote Indonesia as a destination for leisure, MICE and Wedding traffic from India. The participating DMC’s include Pacto Ltd., MG Holiday; Asia World Indonesia; PT Tia Uma Wisata; U& I Holiday T&T; BJC Tours, LH Travels; and Girmar Tour. Similarly, hotels participating in the show include Melia Bali; Sunlake Group; Accor Group; Marriott Hotels; Starwood Group; Oberoi; and Hyatt Hotel.
