The Madhya Pradesh Department of Tourism will organise a series of programmes in Bhopal to celebrate MP Tourism Day, which is observed on May 24. As part of the celebrations, MP Tourism is planning a half-day seminar titled 'Madhya Pradesh Tourism – A Road Ahead', a photography exhibition and competition, a food festival featuring regional cuisines and a cultural evening with a performance by Ghazal maestro Talat Aziz. The seminar will be held early on May 24, 2012 at Palash Residency in Bhopal. “The seminar will focus on rejuvenating the state’s tourism roadmap and bolster it as one of the leading destinations in India. It will also aim to promote balanced and sustainable tourism in the state and promote Madhya Pradesh as a comprehensive travel destination,” informed Choudhary. The seminar will be attended by tour operators, travel agents and road transport organisations from the state, airlines, major hoteliers, key personnel from tourism bodies and state tourism associations, media and travel writers. The photography exhibition on tourism in the state and the food festival will be held at Ravindra Bhavan Premises, while the cultural programme will be organised at the Ravindra Bhavan Open Air Auditorium.
