iCruise.com has released Cruise Finder, an application for the Android smartphone platform. The mobile application provides an interface allowing users to search the website’s cruise database. It allows users to find cruises by destination, departure date, departure port, or ship. Users can browse information on 20 different cruise lines, 200 ships and 12,000 itineraries.
The application provides access to cabin photos and descriptions as well as deck plans. It also incorporates a calendar to provide an overview of sailing itineraries of worldwide cruises, according to a report in www.marketwatch.com.
Uf Tukel, Co-President, iCruise.com, said, “Since the launch of our iPhone application, clients have been asking for an Android version. Almost half of our mobile smart phone traffic is coming from Android devices and it is important to accommodate this growing segment of our client base.”
The Cruise Finder application can be used by guests who are already booked on a cruise for port driving directions, pier parking data, updated port weather conditions and cruise news. Users can share information with friends and family via email, Facebook or Twitter and request a quote for any departure via email or by a direct 'connect me' button to the iCruise.com reservation centre.
