Veena Sudhir Patil, former MD of Kesari Tours is set to launch her new venture, Veena Patil Hospitality under the brand VeenaWorld-Travel, Explore, Celebrate on the 18th of June 2013 along with husband Sudhir Patil and Sunila Himanshu Patil. It's first branch office is scheduled to open tomorrow in Kandivali, Mumbai, to be inaugurated by MNS chief Raj Thackeray. Plans are underway to open 6 branches within a month-and-a-half across Mumbai and one branch in Pune taking the total to seven. Fifty agents have already signed up as partners for the new venture. Apart from Kandivali, VeenaWorld outlets are set to open in Ghatkopar, Thane, Dadar, Dombivali and Vile Parle. Central Railway is planning to run its first fully air-conditioned train between Mumbai and New Delhi by May this year, as per a TOI report. The train will be a weekly service and is expected to leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) in the afternoon and reach Hazrat Nizamuddin station in New Delhi in the morning. According to sources, it will run via Bhopal, Khandwa and Bhusawal. The announcement for this train was made in the Railway Budget presented by Pawan Kumar Bansal, Minister of Railways, Government of India on February 26, 2013.

The Centre has assured the Maharashtra government that it would expedite sanctioning of clearances for the proposed Navi Mumbai airport near Mumbai. The assurance was given at a meeting between Ajit Singh, Minister for Civil Aviation and Prithviraj Chavan, Chief Minister of Maharashtra in Delhi yesterday. Singh told Chavan that the Cabinet committee on infrastructure had to look into the legal aspects concerning the bid documents, contractual liabilities, infrastructural and environmental issues, etc., before granting clearances, as per a PTI report.

Jet Airways will add another service on the Mumbai - Kuwait route. The airline will operate a new four times-a-week service on the route from June 8, 2012. Jet Airways will deploy a Boeing 737-800 on the route and will operate flights from Mumbai every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
