The number of domestic business trips in 2012 have increased or stayed the same for 67 per cent of travellers, with a decline for 33 per cent, according to the annual India Business Travel Survey by TripAdvisor. The survey was taken by over 1,300 respondents from the public sector, private companies,
and multinational companies. While the survey results suggested that growth in business travel in 2012 had so far been confident in the face of a softening economic growth, it also revealed that companies were slowly becoming watchful of their travel expenses, which could be symptomatic of an imminent slowdown.
