Cathay Pacific Airways has announced the launch of a daily non-stop flight between New Delhi, India and Bangkok, Thailand from March 30 and has signalled an increased focus on India’s aircargo market.

Tom Wright, the Hong-Kong-based airline's general manager for India, Middle-East, Africa and Pakistan said Cathay already flies to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore and has almost 44 flights to these cities. It has two daily flights from Delhi to Hong Kong and 10 flights a week from Mumbai to Hong Kong.
The airline also intends to strengthen its cargo network. "We are looking at expanding our cargo business in India and we see a huge opportunity here," said Wright.

NEWS| Cathay Pacific strengthens services to India; Dragonair to arrive on May 1
Cathay Pacific is enhancing its schedule to India beginning 29 February, with more flights added to its existing services to Delhi and Mumbai and the launch of a new destination, Chennai.
