NEWS |Kerala Tourism to organise road shows in Saudi Arabia from May 6, 2012

God’s Own Country is looking to woo travellers from the cash-rich Gulf. As part of this strategy, Kerala Tourism will be organising a three-day road show in Saudi Arabian cities of Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam from May 6, 2012. “Saudi Arabia is the biggest market for outbound tourists in the Gulf region. We want to invite travellers from Saudi Arabia to Kerala’s tourism destinations,” said A P Anil Kumar, Minister – Tourism, Government of Kerala. The Minister, along with Manoj Kumar, Secretary – Tourism, Government of Kerala, will lead a delegation of 15 tourism service providers from Kerala for the road shows. Around 50 local tour operators are expected to participate at each of the road shows. “We are looking forward to a spurt in foreign tourist arrivals in Kerala in the coming years. Saudi Arabia is a very important market for us because there is a lot of scope for Arab tourists to come to Kerala,” said the Tourism Secretary.
