The Friends of Tiger Country Central India (FTCCI) was launched with a big bang recently during the Vidarbha Economic Development (VED) council and Cenin Travels organized Wagh Utsav 2012 to promote the region as the tiger capital of not only the country but of the whole world, according to a Times of India report by Aparna Nair.
While addressing the audience Vilas Kale,
Chairman and Managing Director, Cenin Travels said that FTCCI was formed in order to bring all the stake holders of the region together under a single umbrella organisation so as to promote the development of the region and convert the unique status of Nagpur as the Gateway to the Tiger Land into tangible gains for the region. The organisers said that little was done to take leverage of the declaration and the founding of the FTCCI was a step in that direction. Along with the office bearers of VED Nitin Gadkari, National President, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Ravindra Singhal, Director, South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) were also present during the function. The event was supported by the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), SCZCC, Radio Mirchi, INIFD and PANCAN.
