Kingfisher Airlines today announced that it has commenced flights from three South Indian cities to Colombo. The airline will operate daily flights from Tiruchirapalli, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram to the Sri Lankan capital.
Commenting on the launch of the three routes, Manoj Chacko, Executive Vice President - Commercial, Kingfisher Airlines Ltd, said, “The addition of these new routes further strengthens our network and we now offer enhanced connectivity into and out of South India.”
The airline, which recently announced that it would stop operating its low-cost carrier, Kingfisher Red, currently flies to 59 cities in India and eight international destinations and has over 325 daily departures with a fleet of 66 aircraft. Kingfisher Airlines is a member-elect of airline alliance, oneworld.
