As part of GoAir's growth strategy, the low cost carrier (LCC) has announced the addition of three new destinations – Kolkata, Ranchi and Port Blair to its growing network from October 8, 2011 onwards. With the launch of the three new destinations, The airline currently operates across 21 destinations with 84 daily flights and approximately 588 weekly flights., as per a release. GoAir had in June 2011 recently announced the purchase of 72 next generation A320 NEO aircraft.
On the occasion, a GoAir spokesperson said, “We offer the earliest morning arrival to Kolkata from Delhi, which will help the business community and have a convenient evening flight to Ranchi. GoAir offers very competitive fares and with these new routes we have facilitated access to potential travellers to the cities. We see good potential in these destinations and hope to increase our presence on these routes in future.”
