Travelport has launched a new flight availability search tool called Flexi Shopper in Hong Kong and Taiwan. According to a report in asiatraveltips.com,
the application was developed specifically for Hong Kong and Taiwan markets and allows Galileo-connected travel consultants to search for flight availability with a range of travel dates in one easy step. Flexi Shopper simplifies the search process and is designed to reduce the time a travel consultant spends on searching for flight availability by up to 60 per cent.
Flexi Shopper is accessible via Travelport's Galileo Desktop. Users need to key in a date range and Flexi Shopper will return the relevant search results on one screen. From there, consultants are able to quickly view what dates and fare classes are available for sale or waitlist. Flexi Shopper is currently available to Galileo customers in Hong Kong and Taiwan, with further rollout for other markets planned for 2010.
