Aerolíneas Argentinas has joined global airline alliance, SkyTeam. With this, Aerolíneas Argentinas becomes the first South American member to join SkyTeam. Joining SkyTeam as the 18th member will enable Aerolíneas Argentinas enjoy benefits like fleet renewal and network rationalisation, upgrading the IT platform, improving product quality and
enhancing the frequent flyer programme Aerolíneas Plus.
The airline operates services to 52 destinations in 14 countries from its two hubs at Buenos Aires, including a comprehensive domestic network of 35 destinations within Argentina itself. With this association, SkyTeam’s Go Round the World pass customers can fly non-stop between South America and Australia as part of a SkyTeam Round the World itinerary. Buenos Aires is served by six existing SkyTeam members – Aeroméxico, Air Europa, Air France, Alitalia, Delta Air Lines and KLM which offer regular scheduled services to and from North America and Europe.
