Bihar Tourism, which is on a resurgent mode, will soon launch its revamped website. According to Sunil Kumar Pintu, Minister for Tourism, Govt of Bihar, the revamped website is ready and will launched by August 15, 2012. In another major step to promote Bihar in the domestic and international market, Bihar Tourism will also launch extensive advertising campaigns on electronic media, including TV, from August 2012,
the Minister added. “We wanted to create our own identity and show it to the world,” he stated. Pintu was talking to the media during an interactive meeting organised by the PHD Chamber in Delhi. He added that the site would be informative and would have several of the latest features including a 360-degree virtual tour of important tourist destinations in the State. Giving details of the new website, DK Srivastav, Director – Tourism, Bihar said that it would be 'a unique' and 'one of its kind' website. We have been working on it for more than a year now, and it is now ready for launch,” he said. The site will offer a virtual tour of over 70 destinations to travellers, he added. Speaking about the TV commercial that Bihar Tourism is planning to launch, Srivastav said that it will be based on the theme 'Chalo Chale Bihar' with focus on historical monuments of the State, like Pawapuri, Vaishali, Rajgir, Nalanda, etc.
