NEWS | ITB Asia 2012 revamps layout to allow maximum exposure to exhibitors

The layout for ITB Asia 2012 has been revamped to help visitors navigate the event with ease and enable exhibitors to have a better exposure. This information was revealed by Messe Berlin, Organiser, ITB Asia. Currently, in its fifth year, ITB Asia 2012 will be held from October 17-19, 2012 at The Sands Expo and Convention Center, Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
"Each year the show gets bigger and better. With five months to go for the ITB Asia 2012, we have not only filled the venue but there is already a list of companies still interested in participating this year," said Nino Gruettke, Executive Director of ITB Asia. Gruettke added, "We have also decided to give the show a new look to accommodate the growing number of visitors and exhibitors. There will be a new central walkway which will enable visitors to navigate the different exhibiting regions with ease and exhibitors can also expect maximum exposure with the new layout." This year's show is expected to see a strong presence from emerging markets from across the world. South America and Southern Africa are the two regions with a growing presence at ITB Asia 2012. Exhibitors from South America have doubled their floor space this year. These include Promperu, Peru's Tourism Board, returning to the event after a three-year gap and a dedicated pavilion collectively set-up by the Tourism Boards of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia and Venezuela. South Africa, which has increased its floor space by two and a half times this year, will be represented by two dedicated pavilions at ITB Asia 2012. "Asia Pacific is definitely one of the engines driving global tourism forward. Both inbound and outbound travel from this region is increasing steadily on a year-on- year basis," explained Gruettke. Southeast Asia is another region participating in ITB Asia 2012 which has increased its floor space. Within this region, Thailand has increased its booth space, with the Tourism Boards of Phuket and Hua Hin setting up dedicated pavilions. Philippine Department Of Tourism is also returning to ITB Asia 2012 after a three-year absence.
