The Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA), Mumbai has been accredited the ISO 14064-1:2006 certification for its Carbon Emissions Accounting by Bureau Veritas, a global leader in carbon certification worldwide. Incidentally, CSIA is the first Indian and the second airport in Asia to receive this certification.
Commenting on the certification, G V Sanjay Reddy,

Ltd (MIAL) said, “We at MIAL are proud to have received this certification as it demonstrates that we are taking visible action to reduce carbon emissions. It is truly gratifying to note that we are the first airport in India and the second in Asia to be certified in accordance with global standards.”
