While mega projects and core infrastructure has been the focus of new industrial policy announced a couple of days ago, Vibrant Gujarat global business meet, at Science City on January 12 and 13, is all set to give priority attention to Gujarat's small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and tourism.
Addressing newspersons ahead of the summit, Chief Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday, suggested that he wanted SME sector to adopt global models as developed in Japan and Italy in order to "upgrade" it with a clustered approach and global support.
