Chennai-based Paramount Airways plans to become a national player by the end of 2009 by foraying into the northern region, says MD M Thiagarajan. reports Swagata Gupta from Bangalore.
“We expect to saturate the entire western region by mid-2009 and then foray into the northern market,” he said. Paramount Airways, an all-business-class airline, enjoys market leadership in the South with 27% share. “Despite the recession our market share for December grew by about 2%.”
